Finseo resolves every brand an AI answer names into an entity tree: company › sub-brand › product › ingredient. Alecensa is a product of Roche, alectinib its active ingredient; Genentech is a Roche subsidiary. Once a project’s tree is switched on, every endpoint that ranks brands or reports your own KPIs can be evaluated on a level of that tree.

Levels

Counting never changes between levels. An answer that names Roche, Alecensa and alectinib counts once for Roche on company and once for Alecensa on products. Visibility, mention rate, citation rate and share of voice keep their definitions; only the grouping key changes. Citations follow the same rule: a page is attributed to the most specific entity its host, path or title names, and counts for every level above it.

Choosing “you”

On products and ingredients several of your own entities may exist (Lorviqua, Lorbrena, Xalkori). By default the one with the most answers is “you”. Pass ownEntity=<competitor id> to evaluate another one — the ids come from the entity tree (MCP: get_entity_tree → ownOptions).

Projects whose tree is not switched on ignore both parameters and return the company grouping.
